Transfer - Ownership
If you have entered details of more than one transferee, you will be asked whether they are to become Joint Tenants or Tenants in Common.
For Joint Tenants you must indicate whether they are to be full or limited owners.
For Tenants in Common, you will be asked if they are to receive equal shares. If the “Yes” option is selected and there are e.g. 6 transferees, each will be recorded on the register as having a sixth share.
If the “No” option is selected the “Share Value” box will be displayed to allow you to enter the share in any of the following formats: Text; numeric i.e. percentage or fraction or a combination of text and numeric. You should begin your description with ‘a’ or ‘an’ as appropriate, and end with ‘share’; eg an eighty percent share or a ten percent share.
