Rectification of Registry Error

This transaction should only be used to request rectification where owner names have been recorded incorrectly on the folio or Register (i.e. Names Index), due to Land Registry error.
New names you supply here will be available for use in transactions you add to this Case Folder and will appear on any Draft Forms you subsequently generate within the Case Folder.

There is no charge for Rectification of Registry Error transactions. 

For all other updates to Owner names and Addresses, you should use the Update Registered Owner Details transaction.

Transaction Step A: Select the folio(s) for the transaction
Up to 10 folios can be selected per transaction.
You may request rectification of any number of owner names for up to 10 folios.
Select the folio(s) to update and click ‘Next Page’.  

Transaction Step B: Supply Owner Details
For each name to be rectified:
•    Enter the name as it is currently shown, and as it should be shown.
•    Is the name shown incorrectly on the Register (i.e., Names Index), (as a result of Land Registry error)?  
•    Is the name shown incorrectly on the folio (as a result of Land Registry error)? 
•    Confirm which folio(s) should be updated for this owner
    When all name changes are added, click ‘Next Page’.  

Transaction Step C: Supply Document details
Any combination of supporting documentation may be added, and single documents may cover changes to several names and folios.  
For each document you will be supplying:
•    Select the document type 
•    Enter the document date
•    Select which folio(s) and owner name(s) are covered by this document 

When all three panels are complete (folio(s) selected, owner(s) selected, document(s) added), the transaction can be completed.
