First Registration - Deeds of Acquisition Screen


A minimum of one Deed of Acquisition must be recorded on this screen.

  • For each Deed to be added, you will be asked if the document details are the same as those already recorded on the Roots of Title screen (note that Title document details may only be reused once in this way).  
  • If you wish to add details of a new document, selecting ' Copy of Originals' from this list will require further information as to why the original documentation is not being supplied. Panel 9 of the Form 1/LD1 generated by the system will contain a list of all documents to be supplied in Copy Original Format for this registration.
  • When entering party details, if there is more than one party name it is sufficient to enter the first name and “another” (if one other name is involved) or “and others” (if more than one other name is involved).
  • If the title document is a Conveyance, you will be given the opportunity to register burdens against the document.  If those burdens include Indemnified Yearly Rent, you will be asked to enter details of the document of indemnification.  Burdens relating to other documents can be added via the “Schedule of Burdens” screen at a later stage of the input process.


All deeds created will appear in Panel 5 of the Form 1/LD1 (click on 'View PDF' to view these).  If the land was purchased from the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, any discount/buy back charges will appear in Panel 8 of Form 1.
